Polished-Nickel RALPH LAUREN Bottle Opener with a Story to Tell
A RALPH LAUREN bottle opener with an entertaining glamorous dinner story to tell! Originally owned by Janyra Jasan (aka Jeanette Johnson), Ralph Lauren’s influential and long time design development executive for 20+ years (until 2015). It has a chic textured handle in polished-nickel finish, engraved on bottom with the RL logo. A limited-edition, being no longer in production makes it more "specialty and found". In new condition this may have been a prototype, it was purchased from her estate auction. The perfect gift for the "hostess with the mostess" who loves to entertain in high-style with fabulous stories to tell!
Prior to working with Ralph Lauren, in the 1960s, Jasan was a member of the girl group Candy and the Kisses. Their 1965 hit "The 81" can still be heard on the radio to this day and can be found on YouTube and Spotify. She was also a wonderful abstract expressionist painter, her work was exhibited and sold in the 1980s by the HarrisBrown Gallery in Boston as well as galleries and locations in New York City. A great find, no longer in production, making it more unique & desirable!
