Founded in 2026 by Heather Ryan, THE TASTEMAKER SHOPPE is a natural extension of Heather’s Interior Architecture and Design expertise. In 2023 after more than two decades of design, she found it challenging to shop locally for unique and one-of-a-kind pieces, so she started buying at auction and estate sales filling her studio with pieces that spoke to her. Shortly thereafter, she became a dealer on 1stDibs and Chairish.com. We know Interior Designers and women crave innovative, inspiring places to shop! This is why and how Heather came up with THE TASTEMAKER SHOPPE. 

 

What makes us different is that our instincts are on the same wavelength as our clientele, we understand who our shopper is and what they want to buy. We’re zeroed in on a niche clientele being Interior Designers and women seeking high-style and individuality over trends, who prefers specialty shops with innovative luxury items that appeal to her, not the masses. 

 

Our POV and distinctive way of reintroducing classics make us original. We walk the line between modern and traditional design, tweaking and transforming period pieces.
