Exclusive Pair of 1970's Italian Murano Glass Lamps, Made for a Swiss Ski Resort
A sexy pair of Italian hand-blown Murano Glass lamps! Designed in the 1970's exclusively for a Swiss ski resort, embodying the high-style and glamour of that era. Believed to be the work of Italian lighting designer, Carlo Nason for Murano Glass, although unsigned, they are most characteristic of his work for Murano Glass at that time.
The base casts a warm-amber light illuminating through thick black glass etchings, creating an alluring candlelight ambiance, perfect for enhancing the mood of any room. The milk-white glass shade has a beautiful, soft diffused light. For more ambiance, the top and base operate independent of each other (via a dual switch).
One lamp shade fitting clip was repaired or restored, it does not detract from the beauty or functionality of the lamp. Handmade in Italy, these lamps are re-wired for compatibility with US standard outlets. If you enjoy a story with great provenance, these lamps are for you! As a Curator and Interior Designer, these are the timeless qualities I seek – knowing it will transcend time, always in style, never trendy.
