Pair of Neoclassical Style Leather Wrapped Chest of Drawers

A pair of leather-wrapped statement chests with sculptured Neoclassical-Empire style busts. These chests were customized exclusively for THE TASTEMAKER SHOPPE. A chalky-white paint and wax-finish was applied to drawer fronts. They feel fresh and more modern, having a crisp contrast against leather frames. A lime-wax finish creates tonal depth with a soft subtle movement, similar to the leather’s natural movement/characteristics. The patinated leather frame has original toled and embossed gold pattern framing the outer edges of the top, sides and posts. A contrasting subdued black wax-finish was applied to what was originally all brass busts and sandaled feet - bringing their features to life!
