Rossi Antiques was founded by Luis Rossi. Rossi immigrated from Argentina in 1983 after years of apprenticing in Italy and Latin America. A passionate collector with an appreciation for provenance and artifacts with deep-rooted stories. In the world of antiquities, he’s considered a legend, preserving centuries old manufacturing techniques using master skilled artists and craftsmen to restore antique furniture and objects of art. In 1997 Rossi created "L. Rossi" - a custom line of new furniture designs and antique reproductions distributed through select designer showrooms. Rossi designed and patented a manually expandable dining table named "Avolo Trastevere", a framed two way mirror that conceals a flat TV, and an expandable motorized dining table (via remote control) named “Evolution Table”. These designs became highly coveted items. French designer Alberto Pinto had an "Evolution Table" in his Parisian flat, as featured in “Look Inside Linda Pinto’s Luxurious Paris Apartment”, Architectural Digest, May 2015, p. 193.
Rossi produced "The Ann Getty House Collection" - a furniture line of original and authentic reproductions inspired by Ann's curated collections. Sold exclusively to the trade, made-to-order in custom finishes and fabrics. Please see our other listing - Ann's original c.1810 antique prototype chair that Rossi reproduced for her line.
