An antique Japanese Imari ginger jar porcelain lamp with lovely hand-painted peacocks, vibrant feathers, and flower blossoms in rich blue-green hues, on ivory-white crackle glazed porcelain. Imari porcelain was named after Japan’s port city of Imari, where it was first originally exported to Europe during the early 1600s; large quantities shipped later during the mid 17th and early 18th century. Authentic one-of-a-kind lamps like this are becoming rarer, particularly its vibrant green and blue palette.
